Lake Bled

We took my mom up to Lake Bled, it felt magically because it was so amazingly beautiful. Our pictures do not capture the splendor of this place at all.


The castle sits up high on a steep mountain side with a lake down below. As you can see there is an island with a church on it.

We weren't going to go because it was raining right before we left Ljubljana and visibility is the key to see all the surrounding mountains and the island but we took a chance. I'm glad we did!

First business of the tour, was to get icecream

And lastly, a visit to the wine cellar with some hands on bottling your own bottle.

Keenan thought he'd sign the guest book too. His stick people are getting much better although these ones lack arms and legs!
