Dragon park

On our way to Toddler group today I noticed we were a tad early (chronic habit of mine) so we stopped at a park along the way. I'm not sure the real name of the park but most of the moms I know refer to it as the "Dragon park" well, because of the dragon. Keenan didn't really want to pose next to it.

One of Keenan's favorite things to do when he see's bars, hang.

Checking out the rest of the play area.

Happy Halloween!

The Embassy had a Halloween party yesterday complete with trick or treating for the kids. As I walked to bus on my way there I noticed a lot of people pointing, some laughing, others looking slightly puzzled at my little dragon.

After Keenan got his first baggy of candy, some swedish fish to be exact, he plopped down on the floor and wanted to enjoy his treat. After a little coaxing I got him to move on, the next stop had the choice of either an apple or candy. Keenan chose the apple (good kid!) and once again sat down to enjoy his treat. Here's Keenan with an apple in one hand and chocolate in the other.
Why wouldn't you eat the frosting first??
Conversations with a bee...
I thought they looked so cute sitting by each other enjoying their juice. When Keenan's ran out he immediately grabbed hers which resulted in two kids covered in juice.
Here's most of the kids posing with the Ambassador. Keenan is sitting on the neighbor girl's lap. It was all kind of chaotic...lots of kids running around...lots of sugar...
Keenan was exhausted when we finally made it home and pretty much went right to sleep. Yeah!

Halloween Party

Last weekend we had a 70's Disco themed Halloween party that we attended. When we received the invite I had already ordered Keenan's dragon costume but, everyone said it fit and that he was "Pete the Magic Dragon".
This is how he really felt about wearing the head piece...
Mommy and Keenan, all ready to go to the party. We were only able to keep the head piece on at the party for a few minutes... before everyone else arrived. I wasn't sure Keenan was going to make it very long at the party, when we arrived he was tired and grumpy. Soon as the other little kids started showing up and people started feeding him candy he got his second wind. He even danced a little bit... he likes to twirl in circles with his hands above his head.

I of course waited to buy my outfit until the very last day that I was in Billings. They only had one left in my size, just so happened that was the same dress the hostess of the party had ordered quite a while ago. Ooops!
I had issues with my stick-on eyelashes... one just wanted to be droopy! Those darn eyelashes were heavy, I eventually had to take them off.

I wish I would have gotten pictures of everyone else decked out in their 70's gear, there were some pretty good costumes and wigs. Eric was in charge of the camera...
