That's it! Almost 2 weeks left of being in Ljubljana. Can't believe how fast the time has flown by.
When we first arrived here in January 2010 (almost 2 years ago) as a family of three and will be leaving as four! Van was a little over half baked in my belly and Keenan was 2 1/2 years old when we arrived. So much has changed with both of the boys! (I'm excited NOT to be pregnant during all of the upcoming travels this time that was seriously not fun!)
I'm getting emotional about leaving here, we really like it here. Slovenia is a beautiful country plus we've become good friends with a few of our neighbors and Keenan having so many kids close by to play with. The city is easy to get around, we have our stores we shop at and places we frequent but, such is the life of a global nomad. This is what we signed up for: travel the world and move all of our belongings and family frequently. We apparently love spicing up our lives with extra stress :)
I've been going through our stuff trying to reduce and minimize the baggage. We have boxes in our garage that we never even unpacked from our move here. Plus we have tons of baby stuff we can get rid of. Goodbye crib, goodbye big activity center and goodbye all broken toys that just take up space.
As a mom I worry how the move will be on the boys. Will our next neighborhood be as friendly and easy to meet people. Will the boys have nice areas (with no traffic) to ride their bikes, scooters and just to play? Will there be other kids in our neighborhood? I truly think they'll do fine. We've been prepping Keenan since July.
The adventurous side of me is definitely looking forward to seeing what awaits us and the opportunity to explore a bit of Africa. The nurse within me is excited to finally work again, it looks like I'll be able to work in the health unit there. YAY!! I get to use my brain again!
Time flies... it seems crazy that we're getting ready to embark on our third tour!
2 weeks left in Ljubljana, 2 weeks until this Montana girl can be back in Big Sky country! It's been a little over a year and a half since I've been in America and I need a little dose of home. Plus I can't wait to see my family and friends as well as meet two new members of the family that were born in the last year.
