U.S.S. Midway

Way back in January...  while still in California we visited the U.S.S. Midway which now rest in the San Diego harbor for tourists such as ourselves.  The U.S.S. Midway was commissioned in 1945; was active in Vietnam and Desert Storm.  This was the first aircraft carrier built that was too big to navigate through the Panama canal.   Eric's mom, sister and niece went with us.

 Trying out the seats.
I say we go this way...
Yup, me and Van were there too.
Keenan and a random kid checking out the cockpit
I think Keenan liked this part of the tour...
 To the brigs!
 Climbing away.
 Yeah, all four of us.
Keenan LOVED getting into all the fighter jets and playing around!

End of the tour, now lunch time for us while Van naps. Maybe we'll save him a bite or two.
Overall the U.S.S. Midway is a great place for the family to tour.  Lots of stuff to climb on/in to check out.
