For Easter we were glutons and ate TWO Easter meals. First a big lunch with at our neighbors, of course there was pie and other delicious desserts. Then when as soon as Van woke up from his nap we headed over to meal #2. Here the kids got to have another Easter egg hunt then we all ate AGAIN! I wasn't really hungry but I felt like I had to eat to be sociable or maybe because pork products are hard to come by in this country I felt like I had to fill up... maybe I just couldn't help myself because it all looked so good :) and all this was followed by more pie.
First our day started off with finger painting (Thanks Gramma and Grampa Hammond for the Easter box)
Van became super excited when he realized he could dig out a whole pile of the goo/paint.
Easter egg hunting
Really making sure there isn't something hidden in there.
The mighty Easter egg hunters... oops one kid is still gathering eggs, just from someone else's basket.
The kid table... need I say more??

Easter Egg Hunt
On Saturday we took the boys to an Easter Egg hunt at the Ambassador's house... uhm I'm pretty sure we need to switch him houses. His view of the Mediterranean is amazing! Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the view... I'm completely slacking on my picture taking. There was an Easter bunny for picture taking, only Keenan would pose.
My boys... one with better lighting and one where you can see Van's face then even one of me. I need to remember to make sure someone else takes a picture of ALL of us... next time. Just behind Eric is the water.

Van's idea of Easter egg hunting was to find an egg, eat the contents then go on to the next one. It's a good thing there was a 7 egg limit per kid so he still got just as much as every other kid.

Eric tossed Van at the Easter bunny, this is the one and only picture we were able to get.
So far I'm loving having a nanny, I've even gotten out of the house a few times by myself! One of the other ladies here took me to the fruit/veggie market plus a few other places the other day and I forgot how refreshing it is to shop without the constant whining and screaming of two kids who do NOT want to dragged along. Yesterday I was able to go to the gym then to the grocery store all by myself while the kids stayed home and played! Amazing! Soon my day's of leisure will end and I will start back into the work force.

They didn't have baskets so we improvised with bags that usually are reserved for carrying their cars. Yes, I am that mom who dresses her kids alike. Not totally matching but close. I thought they looked cute...

Easter Egg Hunt
The Embassy had an Easter Egg hunt last weekend complete with the Easter Bunny and something like over 1000 eggs to be found!
I'm a bad Mom, I couldn't find Keenan's Easter basket. Maybe I left it in Montana since that's where we celebrated Easter last... Keenan didn't care, he was super excited that his "Easter Bag" was large enough to accommodate lots and lots of eggs.

Hunting...
My attempt to take a picture of Van while still in my arms.
Eating some of the loot.
Not sure why I didn't have somebody get a picture with me and boys...

Easter Egg h#1
Somehow Keenan managed to participate in 3 Easter egg hunts. This year he knew exactly what to do and filled up his basket fairly quickly then announced "That's enough, Mom"
Keenan showing me his empty basket.
Picking up the loot.
Jami and Chase trying to get a few eggs too.
Look Mom, it's full of candy!
Carter and Keenan checking out the Easter bunny!
Just playing and eating candy.
We rode to the egg hunt with Corinne and Everett, by the time it was time to go Everett was tired and grumpy and Keenan was laughing hysterically on a sugar high. We left just in time, it started to rain and snow pretty heavily for awhile.
Grampa helped Keenan eat his candy while I ran into town to do errands for my mom because she got hit with a pretty bad cold. I took my time since I was by myself, by the time I returned home my dad and Keenan had polished off quite a bit of the candy.
